I had so much fun writing this one! This is not part of a series, unlike my other cozy mysteries. Nope! This is a one-off, twisting and turning, Yuletide extravaganza… set in a prime spot of London Town.

Just days before Christmas, honeymoon couple, Neville and Becky Wright, were wed – on a tight budget. Their marriage was something they had saved long and hard for. A honeymoon was out of the question, that is, until Grandmother Pearl stepped in.

Kevin and Chrystal Patterson were celebrating their Ruby Wedding Anniversary and for the first time ever, planned going away for the holidays, leaving their family to it! Who arranged their getaway? It appears one of them has been duped.

Right up until an envelope dropped on the mat through the art business’s letterbox, the proprietors had no idea how they could explain to their staff there would be no Christmas Bonuses this year. The fact they may not have jobs in the new year was bad news best left untold for the moment. Kevin opened the small package and a bunch of hotel reservations together with an inclusive, river cruise and dinner, spilled out onto his desk.

Waiting for the guests to arrive at the Jewel in the Crown hotel, was proprietor, Ruby Dorset. She began to get ready for the evening as if her life depended on it. Which, it did. Tucked away in a quiet, cobbled alley, overlooking the River Thames, was an establishment that had not always been there, would not always be there and when it was there, was not all it seemed…
