The Journey Begins

Thanks for joining me!

Come and lose yourself in some fabulous stories – Trisha J. Kelly

Hi,

I’m Trisha J. Kelly. Wife, mother, carer and sometimes, I like to write. Who am I kidding? I love to write and so I do… for children, middle-grade, cozy and crime lovers. I’ve even won a couple of awards along the way. My audience so far, like most indie writers, is fairly small – but I have some fantastic readers and I’d like to build on that.

You can find all of my books exclusively on Amazon which means I keep them all enrolled in KU so you can go through the entire collection and read as part of your subscription. Don’t have that? Well, don’t worry! I also keep all of my E-books on a permanent 99p pricing, which means no-one is excluded. The paperbacks are also very economical and great value for around £4.99 per book.

A couple of my books are stand alone and the rest are part of a series. Why not pop over to Amazon and type in Trisha J. Kelly. I’m very happy with every review in the different genres. You will also find some more on Goodreads. Thanks for reading my intro and I’m always delighted if you follow me on Amazon and take a few minutes to leave a review, it makes the whole journey worthwhile and then more people can find my books. All sorts of magical things happen then, I can’t wait!

Bromington Beach

Book 3 in the Wodehouse Cozy Mystery Series

https://books2read.com/u/4AzWG0

As predicted by Great aunt Dorothea (deceased), Rosie Wodehouse had a knock on the door. An unusual request arrives via courier. The package contains a letter from a woman who believes someone is out to kill her. She is a recluse and not quite the full shilling. In some way she is also connected to Dorothea’s past as Rosie is about to find out…

‘The stepsisters were sitting cross-legged on Rosie’s sofa and Bumble was stretched out along the back, her right front paw dangling down in her peaceful sleep. Bear was crashed out on the floor with a full tummy.

Anna took another tuna and cucumber sandwich from the plate of food they were sharing. Rosie sipped at the frothy cappuccino; after lunch, they intended to get stuck into what they had so far. In her usual style, Dorothea wasn’t going to give too much away. A thud on the coffee table made them jump. A small cardboard box landed in front of them. Rosie reached out and took the lid off, it was full of photos. Just then there was a light tapping on the front window.

“It’s James!” Rosie jumped up to let him in. He was peeking through the blind and could see the animals sleeping.

“Darling! How are you? You look divine!” He flounced through the front door and into the apartment.

“Anna, how marvellous. I’m glad I caught you both at home.  Dorothea thinks I might be able to help you with something. Oh, you have a rake of cakes, may I?”

“How’s our favourite psychic millionaire?” Rosie teased. “Are you settling into your new home okay?”

“Let me tell you dearie, Bromington Heights, is without any doubt, the best thing I ever purchased. The tenants are moving out shortly and I have enormous plans for my belated housewarming. You do know Dorothea visits me there?”

“I didn’t, no. But I thought I heard her talking to me earlier when we went to…”

“Bromington Beach. Yes, she’s told me all about it.”

“Would you like coffee, James?” Anna offered.

“How sweet. Just two sugar lumps darling. I’m minding my figure.”

“So she isn’t grounded to this house then, that’s for sure,” Rosie smiled.

“For a spirit, she has come along leaps and bounds. She appears to be gathering the energy levels she had in her prime, as a young woman. She tells me you are working on something and you must take her old friend at her word.”

“Let me show you what it’s all about.” Rosie retrieved the letter, the cheque was folded inside and it caused James to smirk too.

“Dorothea tells me she owes her and I think this amount reflects that. After all these years, Prudence has not forgotten that much at least.” James snorted with laughter at only he knew what.’

Bromington Beach… a perfect cozy mystery to relax into. Exclusive to Amazon. Read today for just 99p also available with KU.

Enjoy!

Bromington Series… so far

Bromington-on-sea, Bromington Heights, Bromington Beach.

The series… so far

It all begins in book one, where we meet Rosie Wodehouse. She is a young, twenty something who lives in a small flat with her beloved pets. Bear, her playful pup, and Bumble, her temperamental cat. Over the last couple of years she has befriended Anna. Anna Rose, the fun-loving very talented artist who lives in the flat upstairs. She is slightly older than Rosie and the two of them have become very good friends over the last couple of years.

Anna just has her mum, Jane, and a few, not very meaningful relationships in her past. Jane is adorable and quite often sends her daughter home with tins of home-made cakes and delights after their trips out for the day.

Rosie loves her father, Walter, but he has done very little to stand up to her mother, Mildred Wodehouse over the years. The woman takes great delight in making her daughter’s life as miserable as she possibly can. The child has never been anything more than an inconvenience and continues to be so as far as she is concerned. Mildred has a son, Michael, who she dotes on, she only has room in her heart for him. Neither Walter nor Rosie have ever held her affections. Walter is Mildred’s provider, tricked into marriage and Rosie was a mistake. Michael’s father emigrated to Australia shortly after Mildred announced she was pregnant.

True to form, Rosie is counting the days to her next payday. Her pets are always well fed, unlike herself. She has more biscuit crumbs in the bottom of her cupboard than anything else. She hates her job, her 25th birthday is looming and the postman has just delivered an official looking letter. It will soon find itself on the top of the unopened pile she can’t quite bring herself to open.

The view from her tiny London flat is nothing to marvel at, parked cars in a small road which turns into several other small roads. When the phone rings and rings again she is forced to open the letter.

Bromington-on-sea is where it all begins…
